Capitalism is the greatest force for human development in the world, and Alexander McCobin is leading a movement to make that known and applied. The co-founder and past president of Students for Liberty — the world’s most successful libertarian student organization — now leads Conscious Capitalism, and the network of mission-oriented entrepreneurs is ready to bloom.
This term, conscious capitalism, dates back to the 1990s, but successful entrepreneurs popularized and organized a movement in the 2000s. Most notably, John Mackey, founder of Whole Foods Market, has given speeches, written op-eds, and coauthored a book on the topic: Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business (2013).
