Frequently Asked Questions

When does the next issue of Gold Newsletter come out?
Each monthly issue of Gold Newsletter comes out either the last week of the preceding month or the first week of the issue month unless otherwise specified. An exception to this is December/January, which is a longer, double issue released in mid-December.

What is the difference between Gold Newsletter and Gold Newsletter Alert?
Gold Newsletter Alert subscribers receive everything that a regular Gold Newsletter subscriber gets. In addition, they are also emailed “Alerts” usually weekly but sometimes more as the market dictates. This means they have access to new recommendations, company updates and market commentary in between monthly issues.

I’m a regular Gold Newsletter subscriber and would like to upgrade to Gold Newsletter Alert, what do I do?
All you need to do is purchase a subscription to Gold Newsletter Alert on goldnewsletter.com or over the phone and our customer support team will handle the rest. We will reach out and issue you a prorated refund for any undelivered issues of your Gold Newsletter subscription.

Where do I locate past issues?
Log into goldnewsletter.com and click on “Current Issue” in the Subscribers Only section of the website (left side of the webpage) to gain access to the latest four issues. If you’re looking for older issues, you can go back in your email to find any issue since you’ve subscribed and all links will still be active.

What is the difference between Golden Opportunities and Gold Newsletter?
Golden Opportunities is our free, advertising-supported e-letter, while Gold Newsletter is our paid-subscription product.

Golden Opportunities contains a mixture of editorial issues with commentary on market developments, as well as advertising issues that pay the costs of providing this service.

In contrast, Gold Newsletter contains no advertisements and mining companies are covered and recommended in the portfolio based purely on their merit and their potential for share-price appreciation. There is no paid coverage in Gold Newsletter.

I’m a subscriber and saw a promotional deal for a Gold Newsletter subscription, can I still receive that deal?
Gold Newsletter subscribers will always be renewed at the lowest possible rate available. You will never see a promotional deal for new subscribers that won’t automatically be applied when your subscription renews.

Is there a place I can view the entire Gold Newsletter portfolio?
If you log into goldnewsletter.com and click on Stock Portfolio in the Subscribers Only section (left side of the webpage) you will be able to see all current recommendations sorted into buys and holds. The portfolio also includes the buy date, buy price, current price, ticker symbol etc. (You will need to scroll down within the portfolio window to see the entire list.)

What does it mean if a company is a “buy”?
It means Gold Newsletter recommends this company as a buy at or near prices that were current at the date listed above the portfolio.

What does it mean if a company is a “hold”?
Companies may be a hold for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to the company reaching our near-term target price, a lack of news flow, the prospects for that company’s specific sector, pending news, etc. Because outright sell recommendations can be counterproductive in the thinly-traded junior mining sector, holds allow us to cover companies that may still offer significant profit potential, but allow readers (and Gold Newsletter staff) to buy, sell or hold the stock according to their individual situations. Please consult Gold Newsletter coverage for specifics on individual companies.

What does “BL Interest” mean in the stock portfolio?
An X in the BL Interest column denotes that Brien Lundin holds a beneficial interest in the company’s shares.
