Some companies are just built for success.
That’s certainly true of Origen Resources (ORGN.CN; OGGNF.OTC), a relatively tiny junior explorer that’s punching above its weight in terms of its property portfolio.
A key reason Origen can do that is they follow the prospect generator mode of operation.
Under that model, a company uses is early-stage exploration expertise to amass a large portfolio of projects. It then forms JV partnerships with other companies to conduct the more expensive aspects of exploration.
But Origen is more than just a prospect generator — it’s a trend setter.
Unlike a lot of junior companies that are quick to follow the latest trend, Origen’s highly technical team seems to consistently be the first movers on every big trend.
As you’re about to see, that first-mover advantage has given Origen an enviable portfolio of projects spread across some of the hottest exploration districts in the Americas.
Add in a tight share structure, and you have all the makings of a stock that could explode in value on almost any good news from its many projects.

Drilling In The Golden Triangle
For Origen, the value equation starts with its package of projects in the Golden Triangle, a major gold district located in northwestern British Columbia.
The Golden Triangle is home to many storied deposits, and Origen has a premier property position in the very heart of it.
That includes the LGM project, a massive, 26,771-hectare project with multiple drill-worthy targets.
And here’s the key: No less than three of those targets will see drilling by mid-July, adding near-term urgency to a company that features tremendous long-term value.

Lithium Assets In Argentina
And Newfoundland
But Golden Triangle projects aren’t the only asset in Origen’s portfolio, not by a long stretch. It also has lithium assets not only in the key producing region of Argentina (where Origen was one of the pioneering companies) but also the emerging new lithium frontier of Newfoundland.
In Argentina, the company has identified an entirely new district for alluvial sand and clay deposits within the corridor stretching from northern San Juan provinces north into La Roja province.
This is a new area to look for lithium resources and, unsurprisingly for anyone who’s followed Origen and its team, the company is the first company to lock it up. Its Los Sapitos project is prospective for both brines and lithium rich clays.
Then there’s the company’s assets in the emerging Newfoundland lithium exploration trend. By contrast with the lithium brine deposits of Argentina and Nevada, the company’s prospects here are hard-rock lithium pegmatite assets. Origen has outlined 20 prospective targets across 12 claim blocks in the province.
In a sign that the smart money likes these lithium assets, Ganfeng Lithium, one of the world’s largest lithium suppliers, owns a 4.7% equity stake in Origen.

The Heart Of Newfoundland’s Gold Rush
Also in Newfoundland is Origen’s Middle Ridge project. The company has an option to earn 100% interest in 7,875 hectares on the prolific Exploits subszone gold belt.
This is the same gold belt that hosts New Found Gold’s uber-high-grade Keats zone, which helped sparked the entire Newfoundland gold rush.
Origen, again, was in early on this gold rush and as a result has major stock positions in some of the most exciting junior companies operating in the region.
The First-Mover Advantage
A common theme to these projects is that Origen often has first-mover advantage.
This is no accident. In fact, the key to Origen getting in early on trends like the Newfoundland gold rush and this new area of lithium exploration in Argentina is that they own a private geological contracting company that’s highly respected and used throughout the industry.
That’s how they’ve become the pioneers in many of the hottest districts...why the company boasts not only great properties but entirely new districts...and why Origen has lots of chips being played in other companies.
Moreover, as a prospect generating company, Origen is earning fees that cover their land-holding expenses — which supports another big factor in the company’s favor....

A Drum-Tight Structure Built For Big Gains
One of Origen’s best features is an extremely tight share structure. The company has just 36 million shares issued and outstanding.
That means good news from any one of its projects could send Origen’s share price soaring.
When you also consider that Origen’s securities portfolio alone justifies a goodly portion of the company’s current, ultra-low C$7 million market cap, you can see that it also offers the kind of value rarely found in the junior mining sector.
In short, if you’re looking for a diversified way to play the metals boom of the next few years, you’d be hard pressed to find a better combination of potential and value than Origen Resources.
That’s the long-term story. But with the drills turning on LGM in just a few weeks, the short-term story is equally exciting and much more urgent.
The time to look into Origen Resources is now.
