Saudia Arabia
Metals Play
| | | One of the world’s most accomplished VMS exploration teams quietly locked up an extraordinary portfolio of properties in the new mining frontier of Saudi Arabia.
They’ve since tripled those holdings, and now the first sample results are rolling in.
The market has yet to fully grasp what Sun Peak Metals (PEAK.V; SUNPF.OTC) is sitting on. You, however, are about to find out.
| | | | Some say the key to success in mining exploration is “management, management, management.”
Others take a cue from the real estate industry and say the secret ingredient is “location, location, location.”
| | No one, however, will argue that combining a top management team and a brand-new mining frontier — one already delivering high-grade gold and silver hits at surface — is a recipe for potentially massive success.
| | That combination is fully in place at Sun Peak Metals (PEAK.V; SUNPF.OTC).
And in the weeks since their boots hit the ground in Saudi Arabia, the story has gotten considerably better....
| | The Top Team In The Shield
| | If there is one geological team regarded as the best VMS hunters in the business, it’s the team driving Sun Peak.
| | VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) deposits are formed on or near the seafloor by hydrothermal fluids associated with volcanic activity, creating lenses of sulphide minerals rich in copper, zinc, lead, gold and silver.
These systems can grow to massive sizes, often in clusters, and can host exceptionally high metal grades. They are some of the most valuable and sought-after polymetallic deposits in the world.
| | And perhaps no one is better at finding big VMS deposits than Sun Peak’s team, members of which were credited with the discoveries of Bisha and Asmara/Emba Dehro, two world-class VMS deposits located in Eritrea, in the same Arabian-Nubian Shield extending into Saudi Arabia.
Following those landmark successes, the team formed Sun Peak to chase the same rift geology that doesn’t recognize political borders, running through Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt...and straight across the Red Sea into Saudi Arabia.
| | | The same rift geology that spawned the previous, world-class VMS discoveries by Sun Peak’s team extends across the Red Sea into Saudi Arabia.
| | CEO Greg Davis has been pursuing Saudi Arabia for over 15 years. The breakthrough finally came when the Kingdom overhauled its mining laws in 2019, allowing 100% foreign ownership of exploration projects for the first time.
More recently, Saudi leadership formally designated mining as a third pillar of the national economy, alongside oil and tourism, creating a level of government commitment and support rarely seen anywhere in the world.
| | Saudi Arabia:
From Trillions In Oil
To Trillions In Metals
| | Saudi Arabia is now aggressively promoting a mineral endowment estimated at $2.5 trillion, waiting to be discovered across more than 650,000 square kilometers of Arabian Shield geology that has received minimal modern exploration.
| | | The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now promoting its rich mineral resources and offering key benefits and advantages to accelerate development.
| | To accelerate that discovery, the government is offering a generous suite of incentives, including…
| | • Exploration grants of up to US$1.85 million per license for the first five licenses
• Co-funding of up to 75% of capital costs through the Saudi Industrial Development Fund
• A grant program that returns 25% of qualifying exploration expenditures directly to companies in the field. Sun Peak has already qualified for that last program.
| | It’s a first-mover opportunity unlike anything seen in modern resource exploration.
Sun Peak is at the forefront, and they are no longer just staking ground. They are following through on it.
| | A Commanding — And Growing — Position
| | Late last year, Sun Peak completed its acquisition of Saudi Discovery Company (SDC), a private explorer that had assembled a portfolio of targets across the Arabian Shield since the country began opening to outside exploration groups.
| | That deal closed in December 2025, initially providing Sun Peak with 100% ownership of six exploration licenses covering approximately 438 square kilometers, anchored across four flagship projects: Halahila, Al Miyah, Safra and Afif 1.
| | Since then, the Company has significantly expanded its footprint. Following the successful award of seven additional licenses in March 2026 through Saudi Arabia’s “Round 9” licensing auction, Sun Peak now controls 1,072 square kilometers across 13 exploration licenses in the Kingdom — a more than doubling of its original land position.
CEO Davis makes the point that, as with all Sun Peak’s licenses in the Kingdom, the Round 9 licenses were carefully selected following extensive geological research, data analysis, remote sensing and multiple site visits. The areas demonstrate strong potential for both VMS and orogenic gold mineralization within favorable geological settings, and initial exploration work is already underway.
To fund the work, Sun Peak closed a C$6.7 million financing in late 2025 and is fully funded for its 2026 exploration program.
| | | | | | An extensive and rapidly expanding land position has more than doubled in size following the award of new licenses.
| | First Results: The Ground Is Talking
| | In January 2026, Sun Peak commenced field exploration across four flagship projects simultaneously, and the first results are turning heads.
| | At the Halahila Project, systematic rock-chip sampling has defined a mineralized zone exceeding 650 meters of strike length, with gold values up to 16.35 g/t and silver up to 180 g/t. A full 25% of samples returned better than 1 g/t gold, which is strong performance for a surface program on a VMS target.
Since these initial results were reported at Halahila, exploration work has continued south of the main zone with the objective of finding extensions. The company looks forward to providing updates and results on this work in advance of drilling.
The team is not stopping at surface. Ground-based time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) surveys, which began in January, are continuing to define targets ahead of an initial drill program now scheduled for Q2 2026.
At Safra, surface grab samples returned assays up to 3.34 g/t gold, 6.72% copper, and 864 g/t silver. Trenching confirmed continuity, with a 22.5-meter interval grading 0.9 g/t gold and 35.6 g/t silver, including a 1.5-meter core of 8.23 g/t gold and 118 g/t silver.
At Al Miyah, samples from the main target returned up to 4.53 g/t gold and 3.72% copper, with coincident gravity anomalies pointing to something substantial at depth.
And at Afif 1, a significant gossan zone has been identified extending for approximately two kilometers along strike and up to 250 meters in width, providing a compelling target for follow-up geophysics and drilling.
| | Initial exploration on the newly granted licenses has also begun and will include detailed geological mapping, rock and soil geochemical sampling, trenching and ground/airborne geophysical surveys.
These results are, as Davis notes, directly comparable to the indicators observed before the discoveries of Bisha and Asmara.
The same team...the same methods...the same geology — just a different address.
| | Right Place, Right People
...Right Now
| | Unlike many exploration frontiers where logistics can grind progress to a halt, the Arabian Shield offers paved roads, reliable connectivity and infrastructure that lets field crews work efficiently. That means exploration is cheaper, better and quicker.
Sun Peak’s team, with years of experience in the rugged terrain of Ethiopia and Eritrea, is finding Saudi Arabia a considerably smoother operating environment.
The 2026 program is well underway. First-pass results across multiple projects have already validated the asset base. Government support, both financial and regulatory, is in place.
| | Perhaps most importantly, drilling of these high-potential targets will come directly...and much more quickly than the market is currently expecting.
| | The team that found two of the richest VMS deposits in recent history. The geology that created them. A government that wants success.
In a metals market hungry for the next great discovery, Sun Peak Metals is worth a very close look. The time to take that look is now.
