| The miners who worked Dios Padre’s silver veins for four centuries knew there was value in that ground.
| ...But they never knew what was sitting beneath it.
One still-tiny company — Regency Silver (RSMX.V; RSMXF.OTC) has discovered what was underneath that historic silver mine: a large, high-grade gold-copper-silver system that keeps expanding every time the company puts a rig on it.
As you’re about to see, this is a story about a discovery that has now confirmed itself, repeatedly, since 2022.
| A System That Keeps Getting Bigger And Bigger
| Regency released complete results from its 2025/2026 drill campaign at Dios Padre on June 16, and hole REG-26-35 stands out immediately:
| 5.06 g/t gold, 41.85 g/t silver and 1.10% copper over 36.35 meters, sitting within a broader 96-metre zone averaging 2.08 g/t gold — located roughly 25 meters along strike from the original 2022 discovery hole.
| What matters just as much is what that hole confirmed about the system’s shape.
The mineralized breccia beneath the historic silver mine has now been intersected at roughly 125 meters and roughly 250 meters below the old workings, and appears continuous between them, extending down-plunge some 775 meters.
| A cross-section of Dios Padre’s mineralized breccia, showing how gold, silver and copper grades are strengthening with depth.
| CEO Bruce Bragagnolo called REG-26-35 the most significant hole drilled to date, describing the mineralized breccia at depth as now measuring roughly 230 by 150 by 50 meters, with a high-grade core within it of roughly 150 by 75 by 50 meters.
And the zone remains open in every direction.
| The system is also zoned by temperature, with silver and copper dominant closer to surface and gold and copper strengthening at depth.
| That zoning showed up clearly in results reported in March, when hole REG-25-26 intersected three separate silver-rich zones roughly 125 meters below the historic mine, including 9 meters of 158.15 g/t silver and 0.68% copper.
| A Discovery That Keeps Repeating Itself
| These results continue the pattern of successful drilling campaigns at Dios Padre.
| The original 2022 discovery hole set the stage, and step-out drilling in the years since has kept hitting high-grade gold in target after target — proof this system rewards follow-up wherever Regency points the rig.
| And the historic silver mine itself, sitting directly above this system, has its own high-grade pedigree — prior drilling there hit intervals like 32.5 meters of 408 g/t silver, including 1.9 meters running 3,220 g/t silver.
But fully four centuries of mining barely scratched what’s now coming into view beneath it.
| In Very Good Company
| Dios Padre sits within the Laramide porphyry belt, a copper-gold trend running from Arizona through western Mexico that hosts some of the largest porphyry systems on the continent, including Resolution, Buenavista and La Caridad.
It’s also fertile ground in a more immediate sense.
Pan American Silver’s Dolores mine (80 kilometers away), Alamos Gold’s Mulatos mine (40 kilometers), and Agnico Eagle’s La India and Pinos Altos mines (45 kilometers and 75 kilometers) are all active producers in the same district.
| Dios Padre sits inside a proven, underexplored corner of Mexico’s Laramide porphyry belt, surrounded by major producers.
| These projects’ presence confirms the fertility of the ground the company is drilling.
| Leadership That Has Built Mines In Mexico Before
| Bringing a discovery like Dios Padre to production, or to a takeout, takes a team that has done it before.
CEO Bruce Bragagnolo took Timmins Gold Corp. from a C$7 million IPO market cap through commercial production and a NYSE-MKT listing, building the San Francisco Mine in Sonora on time and on budget. By 2012, that market cap had reached US$475 million, with gold production peaking at 121,573 ounces in 2014.
He also took Silvermex Resources from a C$7 million IPO to its sale to First Majestic Silver for C$175 million.
That track record extends to the board.
Director and Head Geologist Mike Tucker has been involved with major discoveries before and so has director Raj Chowdhry. This is the kind of experience that matters directly for a system like Dios Padre, which keeps growing the deeper it’s drilled.
| What Is This System Worth?
| Regency already holds an NI 43-101 inferred resource of 11.375 million ounces of silver equivalent at Dios Padre — an estimate that predates every one of the down-dip and down-plunge extensions drilled since 2023.
| A system that keeps getting bigger, in a district already home to multiple producing mines, isn’t the kind of story the market tends to price in advance.
| The breccia is still open. The assays keep improving. And the company continues to advance a system that has kept rewarding it, hole after hole.
If you’re a believer in silver (or gold, or copper)...and a believer that big discoveries eventually get re-rated in the market...the time to look at Regency Silver is now, while it still sports a tiny market value.
