| Smart money makes money.
| In every gold bull market, certain companies attract a very specific kind of attention. Not from the crowd, but from experienced investors who can smell success about to happen.
| One junior exploration company with drill results on the way — K2 Gold (KTO.V; KTGDF.OTC) — has quietly become one of those companies.
| The reasons begin with who is involved.
K2 is part of Discovery Group, a collective with a track record that stands apart in the junior mining sector.
This is the team behind more than C$2.6 billion in gold transactions, including the sale of Great Bear Resources for C$1.8 billion and Kaminak Gold for approximately C$520 million. Collectively, Discovery Group companies have been responsible for more than 10 million ounces of gold discoveries.
That track record is not a historical footnote — it’s directly connected to K2 today. John Robins, the founder of Discovery Group and the driving force behind Kaminak, has stepped in as Executive Chairman. Jim Paterson, co-founder of Discovery Group, widely regarded as one of the most astute mining investors in the market, has joined the board.
| Capital has followed, with major financings completed at market prices and without warrant overhang...contributing to a C$32 million war chest now being directed toward drilling world-class targets.
| This is not passive involvement. K2 has become one of Discovery Group’s highest-priority exploration plays, backed by investors willing to commit capital and, just as importantly, time.
As you’re about to see, that patience has centered on a single asset....

K2’s Mojave project features a wide array of tier-one targets — and after a four-year wait, they’re about to be drilled.
| Mojave:
The Project Worth Waiting For
| For the past four years, Mojave has been defined by permitting.
Operating in California adds complexity, and the process required extensive technical work, environmental review and stakeholder engagement. During that time, K2 continued to refine its geological understanding, expand its targets and consolidate ownership, ultimately securing 100% of the project.
| Now, that long phase of preparation has ended. Key federal milestones have been achieved, a drill contract is in place and the company has transitioned decisively into the execution stage.
| Drilling is beginning this month.
Mojave is not an early-stage concept. It is a large, mineralized system with multiple kilometers of strike length and a history of not only high-grade results, but some truly extraordinary intersections.
| Consider this: Previous drilling at the Dragonfly zone returned 86.9 meters grading 4.0 g/t gold from surface, including a higher-grade interval of 24.4 meters at 10.9 g/t.
| At the Newmont zone, drilling intersected 41.15 meters of 1.69 g/t gold. These are oxide intercepts beginning near surface, a valuable bonus for potential development.
| Among the many targets at Mojave, the Newmont, Central and Dragonfly feature high-grade drill results and sampling along a five-kilometer trend. K2 is now permitted to drill them all extensively, and has the money to do it.
| Even More High-Potential Targets...
| Beyond the obvious potential at Dragonfly, the Mojave project features a simply astounding array of additional targets that have been advanced through extensive geochemical surveys, geophysics, mapping and advanced alteration studies while K2 has been working toward acquiring drill permits.
Consider just two of the most prominent...
| Gold Valley, located fully 1.5 kilometers north of the Dragonfly zone and along the very same structural corridor, features rock samples as high as 142.5 g/t gold and 375 g/t gold. With a total geological strike length of 5 kilometers from Gold Valley to Newmont, the geological continuity and size is clear...yet this area has never been drilled.
The Morningstar Trend hosts a polymetallic system with strong silver, gold and copper values, including samples reporting multi-kilogram silver grades, gold around 8 g/t and copper grades over 3%.
Despite its proximity to historical mining activity at Cerro Gordo, the Morningstar Trend has seen little modern exploration since the early 1980s, leaving a substantial portion of its potential effectively untouched.
| Taken together, Mojave presents a rare combination of known high-grade mineralization and multiple new targets within a large, coherent system.
The scale, the grades and the groundwork completed over the past four years have converged at a moment when the drill bit is finally about to turn.
Consider that any single one of the many exploration targets at Mojave would be exciting enough to support a junior mining story all on its own. But that isn’t all that K2 has going for it....

| K2’s Si2 project is a geologic analog to the 16-million-ounce Silicon discovery...and was staked by the same geologists for that very reason. Results from drilling targeting potentially deep-seated mineralization are now on the way.
| The Analog To A Monster Nevada Gold Discovery
| K2 also controls the Si2 project in Nevada, which shares key geological characteristics with AngloGold Ashanti’s giant, 16-million-ounce Silicon discovery in Nevada’s Walker Lane.
| How similar is Si2 to Silicon? Consider that project generator Orogen optioned Silicon to AngloGold Ashanti...and then staked Si2 because of its nearly identical geological features.
| K2 has built a detailed geological model at Si2 using fluid inclusion studies, alteration mineralogy and geophysical data. The evidence points to a preserved low-sulphidation epithermal system where previous drilling tested only the upper levels.
Because of this work and the similarities to Silicon, the five priority targets on Si2 are obvious...and have just been hit with a 3,871-meter reverse circulation drill program.
Importantly, K2 just released visual interpretations for these holes, noting that they all intersected the types of alteration, veining and brecciation associated with a fertile system.
Assays are now pending and expected in the near term.

| News Coming On
Two World-Class Targets
| Smart money smells success, and it’s easy to see why highly successful resource investors are sensing another big discovery coming at Mojave...and why they’ve put big money behind their convictions.
The fact is, K2 is about to generate high-impact news flow from two distinct, tier-one projects.
- Mojave is moving from preparation into active drilling, with multiple targets set to be tested across an extensive mineralized corridor that has generated one of the best oxide gold results in the southwest U.S. over the past decade.
- Si2 is transitioning from drilling to results that hopefully resemble those at the massive Silicon deposit.
| There is a reason why serially successful investors — including Discovery Group — have committed to this story and remained patient through a multi-year permitting process.
| No one would want to bet against these pros...much better to consider betting with them.
| With two major projects advancing simultaneously, a strong technical foundation in place and backing from one of the most successful groups in the sector, K2 Gold stands at the threshold of a potentially transformative phase.
