Cash is king in junior mining exploration. When you have a steady source of money, everything moves more quickly.
That idea is motivating Ximen Mining’s (XIM.V; XXMMF.OTC) aggressive move to harvest a bulk sample from the past-producing Kenville project and convert that sample to cash flow.
Success would give Ximen a non-dilutive way to unlock the project’s full potential and provide a fistful of free lottery tickets on potential discoveries on the rest of its southern BC portfolio.

Exploring for gold is an expensive endeavor.
|
From prospecting, to surface work, to drilling and development, an investor’s money in a good exploration stock goes primarily into the ground.
Because of this, a discovery at one of a company’s projects usually requires it to tap the equity markets periodically to turn that discovery into a deposit.
The exploration-financing cycle is an almost inevitable part of the junior mining game, one that is invariably dilutive to existing shareholders.
|
Almost inevitable…but not always.
|
You see, every now and then a company is able to tag into a potential resource so compelling that it makes sense to put it straight into production — so it can begin generating its own cash flow — as soon as possible.
That’s exactly the circumstance Ximen Mining Corp. (XIM.V; XXMMF.OTC) finds itself in with its Kenville project in southeastern British Columbia.
As you’re about to see, Kenville once produced gold and silver, and the team at Ximen thinks it knows exactly where to find more.
|
|
If they’re right, Ximen has a plan to quickly convert this newfound deposit to cash flow.
And that’s money (read: non-dilutive money) it can use to begin unlocking the full potential of Kenville and its enticing suite of other highly prospective BC projects.

A Proven History
Of High-Grade Gold
|
Located just 10 kilometers from the town of Nelson, the Kenville mine was the province’s first underground operation, beginning production in 1890.
The mine intermittently generated material rich in gold (0.37 oz./ton), as well as silver, before high dilution caused the mine to shutter in the mid-1950s.
|
|
Then, in the late 2000s, drills tagged into a new, untouched vein system to the south and west of the old mine that spans 700 meters in strike and 250 meters down dip.
|
And the grades were spectacular — ranging from 26.6 g/t to 88.1 g/t.
|
But with gold entering a bear market following its historic peak in 2011, work to follow up on this discovery got put on hold.
Now, with gold having posted new all-time highs last year and showing every sign of mounting a multi-year bull run, Ximen is ready to begin monetizing this potential extension of the old Kenville mine.

The Plan To Turn Kenville Cash-Positive
|
Ximen’s game plan calls for it to drive a decline to that new source of gold and generate a 10,000-tonne bulk sample.
Under one scenario, the company would truck that sample to a mill in Greenwood, BC owned by Golden Dawn Minerals — Ximen has already initiated talks on this possibility.
|
|
If the material generated by that bulk sample proves as rich as past drilling suggests, it would provide Ximen with justification to proceed to production and a potential cash flow stream to outline still more high-grade gold at Kenville.
And given that the sizeable structures outlined by that drilling appear to be wide open, that cash could allow Ximen to convert to a zero net capital model.
That means Ximen investors would get all that upside at Kenville essentially for free.
| |
The opportunity here is pretty tantalizing.
Once Ximen gets its permit to drive a decline at Kenville, it will quickly move to drive that decline and begin collecting the bulk sample.
Assuming the veins prove as rich as Kenville’s historic grades, the company will have the infrastructure in place (and likely the money in hand) to begin outlining a mineable resource at Kenville.
And because the company controls a full portfolio of high-potential projects in southern BC, that cash flow could easily fund work on them as well and give you essentially free lottery tickets on future discoveries.
|
It’s a rare opportunity to invest in a gold explorer with a bead on high-grade gold and a plan to keep shareholder dilution to an absolute minimum.
|
If you like gold’s prospects in the months and years ahead, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more intriguing way to leverage the yellow metal than Ximen Mining Corp.
| | Cautionary Note:
The Company notes that there is no current mineral resource estimate for the property. The Company intends to proceed with a new decline to access a prospective area indicated from surface drilling, and to do sufficient underground drilling and development to justify proceeding to a bulk sample and trial processing. The Company would also like to clarify that a decision to proceed to extract mineralized material from the mine for processing is not based on a feasibility study. The Company cautions that, in such cases, there is increased uncertainty and higher economic and technical risks of failure. | | | You are receiving this message because you have specifically subscribed to Golden Opportunities, have purchased a product or have registered for a conference with us or with one of our partners.
