It’s not every junior explorer that begins trading with the second largest land package in a district-scale mining camp.
But as a KORE Mining spinout of key projects within British Columbia’s historical Cariboo region, Karus Gold is about to do exactly that.
You can’t buy this company now. But with its trade date looming, you’ll want to put Karus on your watch list for an early-stage opportunity to be a shareholder of a very exciting exploration play.
Karus Gold will start trading with control of more than 1,000 square kilometers of the southern portion of British Columbia’s Cariboo gold district. |
Why? For one thing, consider that Karus Gold is the second-largest land holder in the Cariboo gold district of British Columbia…and the largest landholder, Osisko Development Corp., currently sports about a C$1 billion market cap.
But, as you’re about to see, there’s much more to this exciting story….
Karus Gold isn’t some Canadian shell company that’s coming to market with a few hectares of interesting moose pasture to promote.
From the first day of trading, Karus Gold will control 1,000 square kilometers in the southern Cariboo district, a +4-million-ounce past-producer that is in the midst of a major revival.
And the company will be cashed up — with C$3.6 million in its treasury (barring any additional funding before listing) — and will be actively drilling to test a model that could multiply its flagship FG Gold project’s gold potential.
Oh, and Karus Gold has another high-grade gold prospect (Gold Creek) in the central part of the district that sits just northwest of the five-million-ounce Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd deposit.
Read on to find out why you need to be on the short list of investors who’ll know to jump on Karus Gold early before the broader market catches wind of this powerful story.

FG Gold:
Multi-Million-Ounce Potential
At Depth And Along Strike
Karus Gold’s story is anchored by its FG Gold project — where the company is focused on demonstrating that FG Gold is much larger that past operators believed.
You see, past drilling by prior operators has already outlined historical resource potential as recently as 2015.
Karus’ flagship FG Gold project already has a significant gold endowment. |
So, for the “gold savvy” investor, Karus Gold has what most exploration companies dream of, two opportunities for the price of one:
It can validate that historical resource, and thereby be able to show the market an identified, world-class gold project.
More importantly, it stands to dramatically expand on that resource potential at depth and along strike.
You see, the historical resource was calculated at only 100 meters depth or less. Yet recent drilling has shown that the gold mineralization extends to more than three times that depth — so far.
Consider the cross-section below showing the clear potential to expand the current zone at depth (again, past explorers only tested gold mineralization to a depth of 100 meters or less).
Drilling in 2020 on the FG Gold project’s Main zone hit gold (with improving grades) down to 330 meters, creating significant expansion potential at depth. |
Results from drilling last year on this area hit multiple areas of higher-grade mineralization down to 330 meters depth and at higher grades than suggested by the historical resource near surface.
And the best part? There’s no conceptual reason why more drilling can’t repeat this performance along the entire 1.6 kilometers of strike covered by the historical drilling.
Plus, as you can see from the map below, gold mineralization at FG Gold sits along the eastern side of a wishbone-shaped structure that spans fully 20 kilometers in strike.
FG Gold covers 20 kilometers of strike long a wishbone-shaped trend, giving the project true, district-scale upside. |
This vast exploration opportunity provides longer-term blue sky to the shorter-term prospect of re-establishing and growing the resource potential at FG Gold.
Karus Gold is planning 15,000 meters of drilling later this year to verify this potential, both along strike and at greater depths — so we won’t have to wait long to see if the size potential of FG Gold could multiply from here.

Gold Creek:
High-Grade Upside
Near A Five-Million-Ounce Deposit
Adding to Karus Gold’s allure is the Gold Creek project.
Sitting hard against (and along the same rocks) as the Spanish Mountain Gold deposit’s five million ounces of gold, Gold Creek has generated some early indications of both high-grade gold and lower-grade bulk tonnage mineralization.
Gold Creek sits just northwest of the multi-million-ounce Spanish Mountain Gold deposit, to which the Camp zone outlined by soil anomalies lies along trend. |
The map above shows the extensive soil anomalies that have previously been outlined on Gold Creek’s Camp zone. As the graphic indicates, this zone is on trend with Spanish Mountain Gold.
Prior drilling shows there may be significant high-grade gold at Gold Creek as well.
Highlights from that work include 9.0 meters of 5.5 g/t beginning at just 16.0 meters, 3.1 meters of 8.6 g/t beginning at 28 meters and 1.5 meters of 32.2 g/t from 174 meters.
One of Karus Gold’s first acts as a public company will be to execute a 2,500-meter drilling program at Gold Creek, which means early investors will have a drill-hole speculation right from the start.
Put Karus Gold On Your Watch List
Between the results from that program and the 15,000 meters it has slated to expand FG Gold’s Main zone later in Q3, Karus Gold will hit the ground running.
Thanks to a pre-trading private placement of subscription receipts, Karus already has C$3.5 million in the till to fund these programs, and the company could also raise substantially more capital pre-listing.
That cash hoard includes a substantial investment from sector kingmaker Eric Sprott, who owns 27% of the private company. Sprott has invested in the company behind Spanish Mountain Gold as well.
In other words, the man who is arguably junior mining’s savviest investor sees reason to bet big on the Cariboo district as a whole…and on Karus Gold in particular.
If you want to do the same, Karus Gold should start trading within a matter of weeks.
