Find Big Profits In Gold

— No Matter What Gold Does

One key gold sector can offer up profits measured in thousands of percent...even when the price of gold is stuck in the mud.

Dear Fellow Investor,

I told you last week how we found 50-1 winners in the last rare-earth boom.

Well, we did just as well, if not better, over the years in gold, silver and every other type of mineral exploration.

And now we have yet another 10-bagger in gold...even while gold itself continues to languish.

Our latest big winner is Great Bear Resources (GBR.V; C$3.80) which is up about 25% since announcing a new high-grade gold discovery yesterday.

As you might remember, I mentioned this stock to you last September. It’s up 131% since then — so that’s a big bonus you got for reading Golden Opportunities.

But our Gold Newsletter subscribers did even better. They’ve enjoyed a 484% gain since my first recommendation.

...And then again, our Gold Newsletter Alert readers were rewarded the most of all: They’re up 1,051% — more than 11-1/2 times — since my initial recommendation.

I’m glad to say I also bought the stock back then, and still own every share.

So what’s the lesson?

Use Exploration Stories To Turbo-Charge Your Portfolio

There’s no doubt that these small, aggressive exploration companies can provide life-changing profits.

And because they’re almost entirely driven by what they find in the ground, they’re nearly impervious to the vagaries of the gold and silver markets. Even if the metals remain stuck in the mud, one of these companies can soar in value if the drill bit hits the mother lode.

Of course, this out-sized potential also comes with exceptional risk.

This is not a sector for widows and orphans. It’s only suitable for a portion of a diversified portfolio, and even investors who are very experienced in other areas absolutely must educate themselves on the peculiarities of the mining sector before venturing into it.

So how do you do that?

For one thing, dedicate the necessary funds to subscribe to at least two or three of the top newsletters that cover the sector.

Of course, Gold Newsletter should be at the top of your list! But there are about a half-dozen other letters that I strongly recommend. These are honest, dedicated and experienced colleagues of mine that I know cover high-quality companies (more on this below).

Second, attend industry conferences where you can not only get the top picks of a number of experts, but also visit with the management teams of recommended companies.

It makes a huge difference when you can look at a company executive or geologist in the eye, ask tough questions and get straight answers.

Once again, the best conference you can attend, in my unbiased view (albeit a view shared by thousands of other investors), is our annual New Orleans Investment Conference.

At the end of this letter, I’m going to give you links to where you can subscribe to Gold Newsletter at half price and register for the New Orleans Conference at the lowest, early-bird rate.

But first, you can find my full list of recommended junior mining newsletters, as well as a listing of the best investment conferences, in our Investor’s Guide to Gold and Silver.

Remarkable Opportunities Still Abound

Right now, gold is still trading sideways as the summer doldrums have set in. It’s up a few dollars today as the broader stock market is dropping once again.

The weakness in equities, coupled with early signs of weakness in the U.S. economy, will likely force the Fed to lower rates within the next few months...sending the price of gold considerably higher.

But we’re covering a number of exciting exploration stories in Gold Newsletter right now that should power higher regardless of what gold does...

...And I’m also about to recommend a number of companies with big gold resources in our next issue, which should coincide with the seasonal market bottom.

Until then, I recommend staying on the sidelines for gold, unless you’re tracking some of the exploration companies that are about to release new drill results.

All the best,

Brien Lundin
