| I’ve got exciting news for silver bugs.

| As you know, the New Orleans Conference is celebrating its 50th annual event this fall, from November 20th-23rd.

| That’s an unprecedented milestone. Literally no other investment event has ever made it this far.

| It’s the result of one man’s insight to hold a conference in 1974 to teach Americans how to invest in gold and silver.
That’s the same man, by the way, who was instrumental in restoring the right of Americans to own gold, and who created Gold Newsletter, the longest-running investment letter in the world, to help accomplish that feat.
That man was James U. Blanchard III, my boss, my mentor, my business partner and my friend, who passed away in 1999.

| A Silver Investment Like None Other
|
| Before I describe this remarkable new silver piece, I’d like to credit the help of our good friends at MoneyMetals.com, particularly proprietor Stefan Gleason, in creating it. We literally could not have done it without the eager help of Stefan and his team at every step of the way.
But the story of its creation actually began over 53 years ago, on August 15, 1971.
It was on that date that Richard Nixon announced he was closing the “gold window” through which the world’s central banks could exchange their dollars for gold in the U.S. reserves.
This was the last tie between the dollar and gold, and Nixon severed it.
When he heard Nixon’s announcement, Jim decided then and there to work toward restoring the right of American citizens to own gold. He knew that closing the gold window would unleash unrestrained deficit spending and dollar printing, and an inflationary tsunami against which Americans would be unprepared without the ability to own gold.
Thus, he launched Gold Newsletter shortly after Nixon’s announcement, as his primary tool in advocating for gold legalization. And then in 1974, once he was successful in getting gold ownership legalized, he decided to produce an investment conference to teach Americans why they should invest in gold, and how to do it.
Because of the huge response to that first gathering, it became an annual event...eventually known simply as “The New Orleans Investment Conference”...that soon built a reputation as the pre-eminent gathering for individual investors.

| As you can see, the obverse of our commemorative silver round features a portrait of Jim, along with the founding principles of our organization, “Free Markets • Sound Money • Free Minds.”
The reverse showcases our 50th Anniversary New Orleans Conference logo along with stacked silver bars and the “One Troy Ounce .999 Fine Silver” designation.
Notably, although these rounds are priced as bullion, we are continuing Jim’s tradition of going the extra mile with anything we do. So the rounds are a mid-grade strike, with extra polishing of the dies that give a stunning contrast between the frosted designs and brilliant fields.

| Moreover, these will be limited-edition bullion coins — they are being produced exclusively for this year’s New Orleans Conference, and the mintage will be closed off at some point to make room for the next edition in the series.
