| Three holes in, and Silver North Resources (SNAG.V; TARSF.OTC) may already have drilled its best hole ever.
| Hole 41, from the first batch of results at the company’s Haldane Project in Canada’s Yukon Territory, returned 12.16 meters of 727 g/t silver, including 4.41 meters of 1,669 g/t silver.
| It rivals last year’s most impressive hole as the best ever drilled on the property.
| And 21 more holes from the largest drill program in company history are coming.
To see why these results matter, it helps to know where Haldane sits…and what Silver North found there last year.
| Silver Country With A Gold Bonus
| Silver North’s 100%-owned Haldane Project sits in Yukon’s storied Keno Hill district, not far from Hecla Mining’s Keno Hill mine.
Keno Hill alone has produced more than 200 million ounces of silver over the past century. That’s impressive, but what really stands out is the rich grade:
| From 1913 to 1989, ore mined here averaged a remarkable 1,389 g/t silver.
| Silver has a long history on Mt. Haldane itself too. Prospectors staked the first claims in 1905, and by the 1920s small underground workings were producing hand-sorted ore grading thousands of grams per tonne silver.
Yet for roughly a hundred years, those showings at Haldane never became a modern discovery. Deep weathering, with oxidation extending 150 meters or more, left little fresh mineralization exposed at surface…and heavy talus overburden made drilling difficult.
| Silver North’s 2024 holes changed all that. They were the first to intersect and recover Keno-style silver-bearing veins in a structure called the Main Zone.
| Then in 2025, Hole 31 delivered 13.15 meters of 818 g/t silver and 1.39 g/t gold, including a 3.2-meter section of 2,014 g/t silver.
The district has traditionally been mined for silver, lead and zinc. That made the elevated gold running through the entire 13.15-meter interval of Hole 31 a welcome bonus.
| High Grade Holds As The Drill Steps Out
| This year, two rigs completed 24 holes totaling 6,169 meters. That’s about 3.5 times the meterage drilled in 2025.
And that effort has paid big results.
Hole 41 intersected the Main Zone 34 meters up-dip and 40 meters along strike to the southwest of last year’s Hole 31. It returned 12.16 meters of 727 g/t silver, 0.31 g/t gold, 3.20% lead and 2.05% zinc…across an estimated true width of nearly 11 meters.
| |
| Hole 41 cut 12.16 meters of 727 g/t silver…rivaling last year’s Hole 31 as the best hole ever drilled at Haldane.
| And within that interval, 4.41 meters averaged a remarkable 1,669 g/t silver. Individual samples returned 4,910 g/t silver over 0.34 meters and 6,640 g/t silver over 0.47 meters.
| “The Main Fault continues to deliver strong silver grades over wide intersections, with HLD26-41 rivalling last year’s hole 31 as the best hole drilled to date at Haldane,” said President and CEO Jason Weber.
| To put that in perspective, Silver North considers 300 g/t silver over 3 meters a potentially economic drill intercept. According to Weber, that’s the kind of grade that goes through major miner Hecla’s mill in the district.
Hole 41 delivered more than twice that grade over more than four times that length. And its 4.41-meter high-grade section runs more than five times above that bar.
| Room To Grow In Every Direction
| Holes 39 and 40 tested below Hole 31, which had been the deepest hole drilled at the target. Both cut a robust host structure. Hole 40, roughly 80 meters down-dip, returned 5.44 meters of 277 g/t silver and 6.16% lead, including 2.94 meters of 507 g/t silver.
| The host structure remains strong in all directions, leaving significant room to expand the Main Zone.
| And there was a big surprise up the hole. About 120 meters up from the Main Zone, Hole 40 cut a previously unknown vein that returned 0.80 meters of 1,985 g/t silver. The company says it warrants follow-up as a potential new vein target.
That fits a much bigger picture: Silver North has made three Keno-style silver discoveries at Haldane and estimates approximately 12 kilometers of cumulative vein potential on the property.
| The Rest Of The Story Is Still At The Lab
| Results from the remaining 21 holes are expected through the end of the year.
Those include distant step-outs testing the Main Zone structure, along with four holes at Bighorn, a separate target about three kilometers away. Before this year, the only hole drilled at Bighorn cut 125.7 g/t silver over 2.35 meters in 2019.
| Only three of Silver North’s 24 holes from this season have reported…with the rest on the way...yet the early results have already confirmed the high-grade structure.
| After closing an C$11.6 million financing in February, Silver North is fully funded for its 2026 and 2027 drill campaigns.
The company also has outside validation. In August, Orogen Royalties bought the full 2% net smelter royalty on Haldane from its underlying holders.
According to Silver North, it’s only the second royalty Orogen has ever acquired.
| And management has a clear plan. Rather than spend money on a resource estimate for a single target, Silver North aims to build out multiple targets at Haldane to the point where silver producers like Hecla and Coeur can make their own judgments about what it has found.
| “If we continue to deliver strong drill results, we build the framework of that potential,” Weber said. “That’s what’s going to interest a potential suitor for us.”
| Still Early…With A Deep Pipeline Of News Ahead
| Silver North carries a market value of roughly C$22 million at C$0.21 per share.
| That’s for a fully funded explorer with a 100%-owned discovery that keeps delivering in one of the world’s great silver districts…with 21 holes still to report.
| Hecla, the biggest operator in the Keno Hill district, remains close by. And Silver North is building Haldane with exactly that kind of neighbor in mind.
With the bulk of this record program’s results still ahead, investors have a rare chance to get to know Silver North while the story is still unfolding.
