The Antidote to Identity Politics
Fergus Hodgson, April 24, 2018
The politicization of all aspects of our lives is part of a vicious cycle of tribalism, a battle for a slice of the largess. How can we avoid getting trampled by the herd mentality of identity politics?
Mamela Fiallo Flor of the Libre Foundation in Argentina and Cuban Libertarian Party and Paz Gómez of Libre Razon and Antigua Report have charted their own paths and become independent women. Both from Ecuador, they share with us their trials, tribulations, and lessons learned.
They acknowledge challenges at the outset, for challenging prevailing norms. Gómez, in particular, highlighted that becoming a young mother changed her view of the world and taught her to be both more resilient, confident, and hard working.
